3D Animator required on a AAA Console Game
My client has continually developed high quality games for over 20 years, winning numerous awards and selling millions of copies. They are looking for an exceptionally skilled and motivated team-player with a proven track record having had experience as an Animator. The right candidate should be able to demonstrate good Animation abilities along with flair for creative, technical and visual skills.
Position Overview:
The animator will need to create and deliver top quality animation from in-game content to pre-rendered cinematics. With the focus on quality, the candidate will need to use various techniques from hand keyed animation to motion capture to deliver the desired results.
Key Responsibilities:
•Produce high quality animation.
•Deliver work in the required time.
•Make sure all work is implemented correctly
•Reports to the Lead animator.
Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
•Have an excellent understanding of animation principles – timing, weight and staging
•Must be self-motivated and enthusiastic
•Excellent knowledge of a 3D package (MotionBuilder, Maya, Max, XSI)
•Basic understanding of motion capture.
•Good knowledge of human and animal anatomy
•A good understanding of character rigging.
•A strong passion and enthusiasm for animation and video games
•Critical analysis and problem solving.
Desirable (not essential):
•MotionBuilder experience
•Scripting (MEL, Maxscript, Python)
•Motion Capture experience. Vicon experience a major plus
•Strong rigging skills and understands all aspects of character rigging.
•Good knowledge of facial Rigging.
