3D Artist Required- Midlands Developer

They are now looking to recruit an experienced Environment Artist.
The ideal candidate is expected to show exceptional potential, have experience within a similar role, be a creative problem solver, a good communicator and a positive team member who always shows high levels of enthusiasm.
This role requires high levels of creativity and skill as an artist, good technical knowledge of the process and tools for designing and creating high quality 3D artwork and a good aptitude for learning new processes and techniques.
You will be expected to work well within a team of AAA Artists and work to agreed timelines, pipelines and the design and creation of artwork to the highest standards for environment related artwork. In return my client will offer you a competitive salary and excellent benefits package.
Role Responsibilities
• Help Design and produce 3D art work to agreed quality targets within agreed timelines
• Input into defining and pushing look & feel and helping to define art style principles
• Group peer reviews and feedback, helping to maintain and push AAA studio quality.
• Proactively assist in defining group art pipelines and best practices against industry benchmarks
• Adherence to agreed technical budgets and restrictions
• Proactive technology research and development
• Outsource feedback as required
• Participation in the post-mortem process and implementation of ensuing changes
Role Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, Experience)
• Positive and outgoing personality
• Solid experience working within game art teams or equivalent industry positions
• Good knowledge of modern real-time art techniques or offline rendering
• Experience with 3DS Max or equivalent 3D software
• Good 3D modelling abilities
• Good texturing abilities
• Good knowledge of art principles
• An understanding of the principles and techniques of lighting
• An understanding of the principles and techniques of optimisation
• An understanding of the principles and techniques of rendering
• An understanding of the principles and techniques of object animation
• Excellent organisational abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Have a passion for games
• Excellent traditional art skills
• Experience on game consoles
• Outsourcing experience
• Good MaxScript Abilities
• Experience in FX
• Hold a Degree in Art, Visual Media, or Film
