Finance plays a pivotal role in monitoring the company’s financial performance and ensuring all systems are in place to track current activity and forecast forward. There are a number of Finance roles within EA, including Accountants, Business Analysts, Financial Analysts, Finance Managers, Finance Directors, Financial Controllers, Credit Managers, and Chief Financial Officer.
Accountant / Senior Accountant
Key responsibilities
- Manage the full AP cycle, including coordinating with the Shared Services team to setup new vendors, supporting AP needs of the local users, and maintaining accurate AP details in the ERP systems and/or manually in order to address any issues related external and internal vendors.
- Act as a liaison between Shared Services and local users, and respond to requests and business needs from both parties.
- Perform month close activities accurately and in a timely manner, including reconciling AP subledger with the General Ledger, reviewing open PO and follow up with respective users, preparing balance sheet schedules, process intercompany recharges and confirmation, and other items related to month close.
- Create, develop, and run reports, including GST reports and withholding tax reports for submission to local tax authorities, audit reports and schedules, and internal reports used to support various segments of the organization (e.g., CDS).
- Manage inventory and related items, including ensuring accuracy of intercompany inventory, royalty, and other recharges, maintaining and updating MIS reports, and updating standard costing data such as pricing and units.
- Participate in the company’s Oracle system implementation, including taking on the role of Super User for the intercompany module. The role requires the Super User to act as the “go to” person for the Asia region for all issues related to intercompany transactions, participate in the user acceptance testing (UAT), address system performance issues and make recommendations for improvements, and contribute to the overall enhancement of the intercompany process.
- Support the manager in preparing yearly plan and monthly estimates. Assist in monthly variance explanation.
- Perform other duties assigned by the manager, including but not limited to preparing ad hoc manual cheques, assisting in the annual budgeting process and related monthly updates, etc.
Technical skills and experience
1. Degree in Accountancy/ACCA
2. Minimum 5 years of related accounting experience in multinational organizations
3. Good team player
4. Independent, proactive with strong initiative and positive working attitude
5. Competency in PC skills (eg: Excel)
6. Experience in using fully integrated ERP system eg Oracle will be preferred
