We’re looking for contributors to our growing incubation team working on new ways to keep the Xbox 360 on the forefront of interactive entertainment. We need adaptive problem solvers to create and explore new experiences using cutting edge technology. Our team brainstorms new experiences, produces working prototypes using industry-leading technology, and sees these prototypes through production to ship.

We need a self-motivated artist with a positive attitude who is passionate about delivering high quality, industry leading 2D and 3D art. We are a small but growing incubation team working on a range of concepts, so being an art generalist is a bonus. You are comfortable using 2D and 3D methods and tools to deliver high quality art consistently under short deadlines. You will work on a variety of art needs from texturing and modeling to light environment and character modeling work - and everything in between.

Candidate Responsibilities:

Work with the Lead Artist to produce high quality 2d art and 3d models.

Generate high resolution models, low resolution models, and textures for realtime 3d engines.

Collaborate with designers and developers to execute on creative visions.

Makes a significant, direct contribution to the creation of 3D art assets

Expert understanding of next-gen game asset development processes, limitations and dependencies

Excellent communication, time-management and organizational skills

Actively accepts and provide feedback from other artists

Task driven, self-motivated, proactive

Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities

Works well under deadline


QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS


Art-related degree and/or comparable professional experience

Ability to deliver

3+ years of exceptional visual and technical understanding in sculpting, 3D modeling & texturing (both high- & low-resolution game assets)

3+ years experience in Maya, 3D Max or XSI, and other industry standard 3D tools

3+ years experience in Photoshop, Illustrator, and other industry standard 2D tools

Examples of High resolution modelling, both organic and hard surface.

Examples of full set design and scene management.

Wireframe and isolated renders of relevant models, isolated texture work examples.

Demonstrate understanding of next generation texturing and use or normal mapping.

Please include comparison screenshots and/or turntable of model in wire frame, AO and final rendered image. Please include software used and poly count where applicable.
