Assistant Animation Director need in Shanghai today!
Headquartered in Shanghai our client is a strong outsourcing provider in video games and feature film industries that employ over 800 staff across international studios.
They now require an Assistant Animation Director with a proven background as a Senior or Lead Animator in Animated Movies, TV or Games.
Responsibility:
1) To assist in assessing the work of prospective candidates.
2) To assist reviewing briefs from prospective clients and provide conclusive estimates and planning advice.
3) To assist in overseeing, managing and providing leadership and encouragement to the animation team.
4) To assist with the distribution of the work flow according to team strengths and ability in conference with the Producer, Account Manager and Animation Director.
5) To assist with the animation if the schedule permits.
6) To trouble shoot, QC and support each member of the team and their work.
7) To maximize professionalism and productivity of the team.
8) To ensure that the team design and assemble shots according to the 3D Layout/Pre-visualization and Directors vision.
9) To ensure the consistency and quality of animation performance across all shots throughout.
10) To work with the Animation Director and Producer to ensure delivery remains on schedule.
11) To assist with managing a team of 10-15 animators.
Requirement:
1) Proficient skills in Maya or Max
2) At least 2 completed projects as the Lead Animator, Assistant Animation Director, good track record for the management or leadership skills.
3) Excellent presentation skills and good client facing skills.
4) Experience in working with realistic 3D characters including humans, animals and a variety of other models.
5) Understanding of pipelines required for both game animation and pre-rendered animation for film and Visual FX is an advantage.
A 1-2min demo reel of your animations is essential to apply.
