JOB DESCRIPTION

The Co-op Online Test Automation Engineer – An automation owner’s primary responsibility is to help setup, maintain, and drive the automation testing process for the Origin application. This includes working with QA to validate what can be tested via automation, integrating automation testing tools into the build system, and troubleshooting issues with the automation testing framework.


QUALIFICATIONS


• Object-oriented programming experience and understanding of OOP methodologies
• Fluent in Python, Java, or similar object-oriented language
• Ability to accurately diagnose and repair automation test failures
• Knowledge of automation testing systems, tools, and best practices
• Willingness and openness to learn new skills and ramp up quickly
• Able to communicate with technical and non-technical team members
• Able to own features, put together technical proposals and software estimates, and drive features to completion
NOT REQUIRED, BUT HIGHLY DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience working as an automation test engineer, build engineer, or similar position
• Experience with source control systems, such as Perforce or Subversion
• Experience testing software
• Knowledge of QT and Squish
• Knowledge of Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, UNIX, and OSX
• Knowledge of unit and integration testing methodology
• Knowledge of shell scripting
