POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Co-op in the Football Business Analytics group, you will support the football (soccer) business within EA Sports to understand the customer behavior and needs through data and analytics. The profile will be a part of business dialogue with the FIFA franchise with the purpose of matching the tactical and strategic agenda with analytics within areas such as segmentation, customer scoring, cross- and up-selling, loyalty programs, forecasting and campaign execution. JOB DESCRIPTION
You will work within the following areas:
• Develop and assist in development of data and statistical modeling using analytical software
• Produce quality control reports and dashboards for games
• Prepare data for analytical modeling – reformat raw data to analysis-ready form required by the analytical software. This process may include the following tasks:
o Validate data for quality and consistency
o Identify data anomalies and/or inconsistencies
o Perform data cleansing as necessary
• Build, maintain, stress test, and validate analytical models
• Participate in end-to-end customer analytic needs:
o Identify data analysis needs
o Process and explore available internal and external data
o Translate business requirements into analytic methods
o Create analytical models
o Develop analysis reports
o Automate analytic processes
• Perform other ad hoc data, analytical and reporting duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Working towards a Bachelor degree with experience in Statistics/Analytics or closely related field with extensive knowledge in statistical software solutions – preferable SAS
• Interest in Football and gaming
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to relate data and analytics with business concepts
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Ability to communicate with people of various technical and business backgrounds, including the ability to explain difficult technical concepts in simple terms to business users
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
