CONTRACT Java Developer – 4-8 WEEKS.

We are looking for a Java Developer for short-term contract based in Switzerland.


DUTIES
Your primary responsibilities will be:

• Working on one of our clients multiplayer games.
  

• Develop and maintain Java applications

• Document all work for both internal and external use
  

• Help other teams trouble-shooting (both software and infrastructure)

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

We’re looking for a hard-working robust individual who can hit the ground running. You must know Java very well and be willing to work on-site for the contract (accommodation will be provided).

• Java, specifically server side experience
  

• Games experience is desirable

• OOA/D/P
  

• Multiplayer experience

• Performance optimisation (both on algorithm and code levels)
  

• Concurrency and race conditions

• Cloud computing (across multiple data centres)
  

• Client/Server paradigms

• Collaborating with internal and external developers
  

• Passion for gaming

• Excellent analytical skills and ability to process large quantities of data
  

• Unit and volume testing

• Good architecture/infrastructure design skills (horizontal and vertical scaling)
  

• Good communication skills in English both verbally and in writing

• Work globally with people in different time-zones
  

• JSP

Professional experience with the following is desirable but not essential:

• Database design
  

• Network Communication/Security

• JSON
  

• Linux experience

• IDEA Intelli J
  

• Using a revision control system (such as SVN)

• State-based programming
  

• Remote debugging

• Java Enterprise Beans
