The BioWare Label is a division of EA which crafts high quality multiplatform role-playing, MMO, social, play-for-free and strategy games, focused on emotionally engaging, rich stories with unforgettable characters and vast worlds to discover. Since 1995, BioWare has created some of the world's most critically acclaimed titles and franchises, including Baldur's Gate™, Neverwinter Nights™, Star Wars®: Knights of the Old Republic™, Jade Empire™, Mass Effect™ and Dragon Age™. BioWare currently operates in eight locations across the world, including Edmonton (Alberta, Canada), Montreal (Quebec, Canada), Austin (Texas), Fairfax (Virginia), San Francisco (California), Los Angeles (California), Sacramento (California) and Galway (Ireland).

BioWare’s Austin studio is hard at work on our massively multiplayer online game, Star Wars: The Old Republic. We are currently searching for a Contract Marketing Analyst for our Austin, Texas studio.

NOTE: This is an onsite contract/temporary position; relocation assistance will not be provided.

The Marketing Analyst will report to the Senior Director of Marketing for BioWare label and will work closely with the marketing teams measuring and analyzing data driven strategies, tactics, promotional programs, advertising/social media effectiveness/impact and communications through online, email, and analog channels to drive customer acquisition, retention and monetization strategies. This position is intended to support marketing stakeholders in guiding decisions based on objective, quantifiable data as well as in measuring effectiveness/impact of tactical programs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data and how it inter-relates with customer behavior.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Analyzes performance of strategic marketing campaigns to acquire new consumers and cross-promote games to retain and maximally monetize players against established benchmarks and or forecast objectives.
• Evaluates return on asset investment and performance of media mix within specific market segments.
• Develops marketing analytics dashboards, reports, and visualization to executives and producers that track key performance indicators to identify and predict user trends.
• Analyzes consumer behavior and response to media investment and creative messages.
• Using data-driven insights, recommends actions to improve campaign performance.
• Collaborates with other areas of marketing, (including brand marketing, marketing management, acquisition and retail teams, online & social media marketing, CRM) as well as product development and product management teams to validate campaign content and ensure programs are effectively reaching customers.
• Identifies new initiatives for monetizing, including identifying partnerships to expedite monetization and scaling the customer network.
• Designs, conducts and evaluates testing scenarios.
• Helps to design and implement tracking and measurement approaches to effectively support and track marketing programs and demonstrates a thorough understanding of quantitative modeling methods and theories.
• Candidate should have a good knowledge of general marketing paradigms and standard campaign management and measurement strategies along with video game industry experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• 4+ years of relevant hands on experience, preferably in gaming, entertainment (film/TV), Internet product/service, marketing/advertising consulting or retail.
• Strong understanding of direct marketing in digital channels.
• Experience working with marketing metrics and programs.
• Expert knowledge of Excel including macros, pivot tables, vlookups, charts and graphs as well as demonstrable ability to present data insights to a larger audience for actionable business results.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and to meet changing deadlines and priorities on multiple simultaneous projects.
• Team player and self-starter with the ability to liaise with multiple teams and stakeholders, including Analytics, CRM, Community, and Gameplay.
• Experience with Omniture, Google Analytics, WebTrends, Opinionlab, Attensity, Radian6, and Tableau a plus.
• B.A. or B.S. in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, and/or Engineering Sciences – Master’s Degree a plus.
• Passion for gaming and MMO’s.
