Creative Services Marketing Manager - GAMES to work for a video game developer in the USA

This job mixes the skills of a senior graphic designer about 50% of the time, with 25% art direction and 25% awesomeness. The Creative Services Manager (CSM) works directly with the Creative Director, Art Director, internal artists, and external vendors. The CSM is the gatekeeper and vision holder for the marketing materials of the games our client is working on, as well as the studio branding. The CSM leads all design/creative production within the marketing department from initial design to pre-press or interactive use. The CSM is responsible for all visual assets, supporting the company’s web sites, collaterals, industry shows, and all other forms of visual media. The CSM both designs and oversees all facets of asset production within the marketing department.

Universal responsibility:
•We expect you to seek out all relevant information on your subject and be able to respond to spontaneous inquiries on that subject.

Responsibilities:
•Gatekeeper, co-creative and vision holder for all marketing materials.
•Review and submit concepts for approval to the creative director and art director. Provide input, gather feedback, and if applicable communicates feedback to vendors or internal artists.
•Manage and art direct contractors/agencies for company projects.
•Design artwork used for advertising, P.O.P. displays, interactive, and the websites.
•Take responsibility for creation, production preparation, and final production of industry tradeshow print graphics or corporate promotional materials–recruitment collateral, sales sheets and show signage, business suite materials, etc.
•Produce and organize corporate and various presentation materials–PowerPoint presentations, display graphics, etc.
•Work directly with print/replicator account managers.
•Research and source new print techniques and vendors.
•Take responsibility for delivery of all final print files to production vendors for manufacturing of retail product.
•Communicate with vendors regarding cost, delivery and invoicing issues.
•Modify designs within specifications to reach final production.
•Create procedures for the timing and delivery of vendor materials.
•Provide input and proofread all materials.
•Review projects to ensure compliance with first-party, legal, and ESRB requirements.
•Communicate feedback from first parties to artists/requestors.
•Attend first party seminars.
•Assist with E3 planning and execution.
•Coordinate support for special events.
•Provide input to marketing director on budget needs.
•Ensure all assets are labelled and archived correctly and safely.
•Collaborate with internal groups on strategic planning of titles.
•Conduct meetings to promote project collaboration.
•Design packaging and advertising for games on different platforms.
•Research vendor packaging opportunities.
•Research current and future trends in interactive software and gaming.
•Research current and future trends in visual communication and design.

Qualifications:
•Must have at least 5 years experience in the Games Industry is essential
•Must submit a “portfolio” to be considered
•Experience in Print & Wed preferred
