Position Overview
The Data Analyst/Manager will work with EA central teams (IT, BI, Consumer Marketing) and EAGL (development and marketing) teams to drive data backed decision making. The primary responsibility of this individual is to (a) define and deliver standard reporting on online consumer behavior (b) create ad-hoc reporting to drive key EAGL decision support activities
Responsibilities
• Generate standard and ad hoc reporting from the EA’s central data warehouse (DWBI) using standard BI tools (MicroStrategy, TeraData, Tableau) or native SQL
• Set up online dashboards and reports for use by various consumers of the data
• Ensure basic quality assurance of the data being pulled out of the systems by cross checking with other data sources
• Dig deeper into data inconsistencies to suggest remedial technical and/or process fixes
• Mine the data to spot interesting trends and suggest actionable marketing programs or product features
• Partner with product marketing and development teams to ensure implementation of these programs
• Continuously act as point of contact for ‘data consumers’ and ensure cross functional collaboration throughout all projects
• Drive various analytics related initiatives at a company level by working closely with central teams (IT, CRM, Online producers etc)
• Evangelize use of data throughout the organization
Requirements
Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field – Math, Statistics, Engineering
o Masters preferred
o MBA a plus
Technical skills: Extensive experience with report creation with BI tools (e.g. MicroStrategy, TeraData, Tableau, SAS etc) and CRM. Experience with SQL and database/data warehousing concepts required
Experience in similar role required
Attention to detail and ability to navigate organizational hurdles
