Design Director - AAA Games Studio in France
Established in 2002, this Game Development Studio in France specializes in Console and PC games.
They are looking for a GDD who will be responsible for and will supervise design and drafting of the game design for a game under development.
Game Design duties:
Report and collaborate with the Executive Producer, Creative Director, and CEO
Game Pitch
High level of involvement in the definition of the game vision.
Create and update game design documents
Establish all clear and structured documentation for the team
Design task reporting
Planning definition/ update
Working in respect of technical constraints
External relationship with the publisher (twice a week conf call minimum)
Game promotion
Management duties:
Mentor and manage the Lead GD and his team as the lead LD and his team.
Close collaboration with other Leads as technical, level, cinematic, engine, sound, QA…
Convey the game vision to the team and coordinate/ prioritize their tasks
Lead all the reviews about game design and gameplay
Coordinate outsourcers (story writer, concept art etc…)
Ensure compliance with specifications and milestones delivery
Highlight the tools needed to the production in collaboration with the producer
Profile
Strong experience of minimum 3 years as a Lead GD on AAA productions
Ability to make productive and constructive feedbacks
High knowledge of video game production process
High video game culture
Rigorous and writing skills
Teamwork / Communication
Fluent English compulsory
Analytical skills
