Design Director - AAA Studio in Germany
This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented Design Director to join an award winning studio working on a next gen AAA title.

The successful candidate will support, enhance and bring to life the vision of an exciting, unannounced project. You will drive the project towards highest quality in the areas of gameplay and design. Using your experience and the team you will identify, assess, and solve creative problems quickly and frequently. You are a passionate gamer with an eye for the details. You will understand quality in games and how to translate that into the creative processes.

Job Responsibilities:
• Supervise projects and creative development in the areas of gameplay and design to maintain its focus areas and vision of the game.
• Drive the creation and implementation of new game concepts that align with the vision objectives.
• Coordinate, review and evaluate gameplay implementations and create product requirement and design documents.
• Build a strong working relationship with the team and help them with any obstacles to ensure that the game is “fun” and on time.
• Mentor individuals in the development team, solve people-problems and apply motivation practices.
• Coordinate, evaluate and react to feedback from the stakeholders and focus tests.
• Upon request from the company, attend trade shows and press events to represent the product and/or company.

Requirements:
• Passion for and knowledge of Games, love video games and understand what makes a great video game.
• Experience in a producer role and/or Design Director experience on multiple shipped console products.
• Strong cross-team communication skills.
• Personality that is encouraging, inspiring and calming.
• Ability to handle multiple and sometimes competing priorities.
• Must work well in a team oriented environment.
• Ability to make the team contribute innovative and original ideas towards all aspects of game play and design.
• Willing to accept and provide direction, work well under pressure, and handle multiple tasks.
• Ability to communicate in English (both written and Verbal).
• Must be willing to relocate to Germany.
