Overview
Seeking a highly motivated Development Director for a new IP on PC in the action/RTS genre. Looking for a leader, who is both technical and creative, and energized by problem solving. This is a major opportunity to contribute to a bold new franchise, heavily backed by the EA Games Label.
Responsibilities:
• Maintains regular communication with team and key stakeholders to provide project status updates.
• Builds and maintains effective working schedules to ensure achievement of project development milestones.
• Manages change requests and obtains appropriate approvals; advises key stakeholders on the impact of each change request on project schedule, budget, and resources.
• Continually evaluate scheduling process and methodology and look for ways to improve efficiency without compromising effectiveness.
• Anticipate and communicate problems and roadblocks to successful achievement of goals and milestones.
• Manage career development of direct reports, including development of individual development plans and regular 1:1 meetings.
Requirements:
• Strong listening and communication skills - able to communicate team and project goals in a clear, concise and strategic manner.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills - able to work on complex problems where analysis of situations requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.
• Excellent negotiation, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
• Minimum 4 years software development experience or other related experience; minimum 2 year project management or team leadership experience.
• Able to interpret design documents and project schedules to establish and communicate scope.
• Strong people management skills including the ability to clearly communicate performance expectations and provide regular feedback to improve employee performance; capable of managing performance and professional development of direct reports.
• Significant experience producing or leading one or more aspects of game development.
• A good understanding of various disciplines that go into game development such as programming, art, design and audio.
