Experienced Designers To Work On A Brand New and Exciting IP!!
My client is a long established English-speaking game development company set up by an exceptional group of passionate games industry professionals. They have a huge focus on enjoyable error free games with a huge emphasis on both quality and fun.
Based in a beautiful area of Germany they boast a team of professionals from all around the globe as well as partners that form the cornerstone of this great industry as we know it.
They are actively seeking experienced game designers for their upcoming AAA open-world action game. Candidates must be constantly ready to entertain new ideas, challenge proven theories and enjoy thinking outside the box.
Game designers will be responsible for the development of an original gameplay experience. Several posts are open with differing levels of responsibilities. There is a possibility to work in several areas including:
•General game flow, movement, camera and controls
•Action game elements, combat design and environmental challenges, systems relating to dexterity and timing based gameplay
•Open world systems, the behaviour of the AI population of the world, making AI look alive, dealing with exceptional cases and design believable reaction to the players actions
•Exploration, open-world navigation interfaces, inventory, interaction with obstacles, interaction with story relevant NPCs, systems relating to the players property and to money
•Storytelling and missions design, cut-scenes and dialogs, objects and items examination, foreshadowing of upcoming events, interrogation systems
•Game direction and balance, accessibility, difficulty settings, challenge curves, rewards
SKILLS
- Candidates should have completed at least one game (character-based console titles)
- For senior posts: 3+ titles (character-based console titles)
-Broad knowledge of and passion for modern games and gaming platforms
-In-Depth knowledge of character-based games
-Solid theoretical background in game design
-Analytical and logical skills
-Documentation and communication skills
-Good knowledge of English language
PLUS
-Graphical/layouting skills
-Presentation skills
-Knowledge of classical and modern literature, cinema, entertainment or history
-Scripting skills
