My client has built their reputation by its liaison with publishing giants and consistent AAA titles. They have a great working atmosphere, close knit teams and strike a happy balance between hard work and equally hard play.

They are now looking for an experienced Intermediate Environmental Artist to be responsible for the creation of in-game environment art assets. All artwork must be completed to the required standard and style as defined by the Environment Art Lead. The Environment Artist will report directly to the Environment Art Lead.

Requirements
Candidates are required to demonstrate strong artistic and creative skills in modelling and texturing in-game assets. Proven aesthetic and technical skills are expected, as well as a good knowledge of 3DS Max and Photoshop. Previous experience of using current gen level editors is desirable. Initiative, problem-solving and good communications skills are required. He/She needs to work within the restrictions imposed by the platform(s), programmers and Environment Art Lead. He/She must be pro-active in the solving of artistic and technical problems, highly motivated and work well within a team.

Responsibilities
The Environment Artist is responsible for the creation of in-game environment art which must work within the game design both technically and aesthetically and with all other components of the game.
Assist in the estimation of work tasks. Modelling and texturing of environment art assets, delivered on schedule.
Participate in group critiquing of own work and the work of others.
The ability to give as well as take constructive criticism.
He/She is expected to learn and use new software as determined by the project requirements.

Candidates are expected to be a good communicator with enthusiasm for and commitment to producing high quality art work. The role requires close communication with the other Environment Artists, the Environment Art Lead, the Technical Art Lead and Design Team.
He/She will need to be organised and self-motivated.
