Experienced Level Designer - Racing Studio!
My client is a AAA Developer and Publisher and is leading the way in producing high quality titles for Next Generation formats. They are currently looking for an experienced Level Designer to join their team

The successful applicant will produce levels for their assigned project. You will maximize all available assets and technology and ensure the gameplay and overall quality exceeds the high standards required within the specified timescales.

Duties/Responsibilities Include:
• Researching all relevant areas of design
• Concepts are effectively recorded and notes are taken for concepts
• Contribute to both the concept and vision of the project/task.
• Develop detailed specifications (To be agreed and signed off by lead level designer and possibly chief games designer).
• Identify and report additional tasks over and above the delegated work that will aid the projects schedule and/or quality.
• Games Designer or Lead Level designer
• Ensure scheduling documentation is up to date against targets.
• Use appropriate methods of communication and you must ensure communication is clear, comprehensive and concise.
• Liaise effectively with level design team and other co-dependant team members.
• To actively participate in team meetings and act as a point of contact where appropriate
• Work from the agreed specification and schedule, implement assets to the required standard or higher.
• Report progress to line manager and inform them of any implementation issues as they arise.
• Test owned assets against specification to ensure they perform as required and fix identified bugs.
• Play test and balance all owned areas of the game, in line with the vision and direction as set by the design team.
• To play and suggest changes to others' levels currently in development
• Communicate regularly with other development team members on game balancing and quality issues.

This is working on a high profile racing title and therefore the succesful applicant will have a real passion for racing.

The salary bracket is approximate and is no guarantee of the income on offer. Salary and benefits will be discussed with candidates at interview with the company and are individually negotiated by OPM.
