Experienced Project Manager
My client is an established company that is known to make highly successful and innovative games.
They are looking for someone truly great to organise and plan their very exciting new IP. If you're someone who is comfortable owning a complicated project schedule and driving a project towards completion on time and on budget, then read on!
To be a success in this role it is key that you possess strong planning, analytical and problem-solving skills. You will need to have an extensive working knowledge of project management methodologies as well as having excellent attention to detail. You'll also be used to managing and adapting to change within a project. Excellent communication skills are a must, as is the ability to motivate others and get your team members on board.
Main Tasks and Accountabilities:
• Setting up and maintaining a project schedule using Hansoft as well as other tools
• Risk identification and mitigation
• Managing project budgets
• Tracking and reporting project progress including forecasting project outcome
• Gathering and amalgamating feature estimations
• Managing and organising project outsourcing
• Assisting the Studio Manager with various ad-hoc tasks
Key Skills & Abilities:
• Strong planning skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
• Good presentation skills
• Excellent knowledge of Hansoft
• Very strong knowledge of Project Management methodologies
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Experience:
• Extensive project management experience within the videogames industry
• Managed at least 1 shipped next-gen console videogame title
• Managed the development of new IP
• Knowledge of running idea generation sessions
Personal Attributes:
• A people person with the ability to motivate a team
• Self-motivated
• Solution and results orientated
• Ability to gain trust of colleagues as well as external agencies
• A passion for making videogames!
This is a permanent position which offers a good basic salary, as well as an extensive list of company benefits including
