Gameplay Engineer
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Gameplay Engineer with console expertise at the Visceral Redwood Shores Studio. This is a major opportunity to contribute creatively to an exciting new IP.

Responsibilities
• Collaborate with artists, designers, and programmers to create innovative gameplay
• Implement creative gameplay related functionality including controls, character interaction, camera movement, game mechanics, AI – among others
• Support other gameplay programmer team members
• Work with Tools and Engine Programmers to create and refine enhancements
• Document and maintain code performance through profiling and optimization

Requirements
• Degree in computer science, mathematics, physics or related field
• 3+ years of gameplay engineering experience
• Strong C/C++ programming skills and solid data structures, logic, and algorithm skills
• Experience working with a cross-platform engine
• Problem solving and decision making ability
• A passion for creating game play systems
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Online or animation engineering experience a plus
