General/Tools Programmer - PS3 Exclusive
My client is an independent games development studio, currently employing around 70 people and are working primarily on Playstation3-exclusive games. They pride ourselves on our friendly, energetic and creative working environment and our strongly Agile approach to games development.
They have a number of Sony exclusive titles at various stages of development and are looking for enthusiastic and talented game programmers to help us deliver on our ambitious plans.

The Studio is informal and flexible, but hard working and passionate about what we do. Their philosophy has been to foster a creative, supportive and fun environment whilst trusting people to get on with their jobs.
Key Skills and Experience:
• 5+ years experience in the games industry
• Excellent C++ and C# skills, used in a game-development environment
• Experienced in several game systems, in both tools/pipelines and runtime
• Helping to build and maintain strong workflows for content creators
• Happy to work closely with others in a cross-discipline team
• Able to design and plan own work
• Good 3D maths knowledge
• Passion for video games
Desirable Skills and Experience:
• One or more of:
o WinForms and WPF, including interface design
o Audio, including an understanding of middleware SDKs such as Wwise or FMod
o Animation/AI, including an understanding of middleware SDKs such as Havok Behaviour
• Exposure to an Agile (e.g. Scrum) development environment
• Experience in debugging and profiling
• Enjoys meeting the quality standards of high-pressure triple AAA projects
