Position Overview:
The position is for a Community Manager in the Play4Free group.
Play4Free is a group inside the EA Games Label that manages a portfolio of game titles based on the free-to-play business model. By their nature, these titles rely on a strong online presence and in order to operate effectively, they require specialized platforms and tools.
Main Purpose of the Role:
•As part of our marketing team our Global Community Manager develops, fosters and executes a strategy for day to day communications to a strong community of our online games portfolio (Need for Speed World)
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
•Driving customer relationship to efficiently foster a strong community
•Engaging in the community and providing input and recommendations to Publishing and Development
•Planning and executing player community programs including events and organized play in close cooperation with the Publishing team
•Strong involvement in the community dialogue through social media, forums and other available tools
•Community opinion and feedback gathering through forum monitoring, polls etc.
•Managing the relationship with and providing information and direction to EA Play4Free Community Managers to ensure a unified flow of information to the community
•Manage communication and feedback process for beta testing
•Reporting into EA Play4Free Sr. Community Manager
Required Knowledge and Skills
•Substantial work experience as Community Manager
•Strong social network/community background required preferably within the games industry or experienced in managing online communities, mods or similar
•Proven experiences in building and maintaining a successful community preferred
•Understanding and experience of major social game, browser, PC and video game titles
•Candidate must be a gamer
•Organized and strong planner preferred with Project Management skills
•Systematic and creative thinker
•Fluent in English both written and verbally, additional language skills considered a plus
•Team player
