Graphics Programmer, Cambridge, £55k

Our client designs graphics hardware and software products for mobile and embedded devices. Their Graphic Processors Units have an advanced, easily programmable architecture for accelerating 3D and 2D graphics. The OpenGL ES, OpenCL and OpenVG drivers support games and also user interfaces for Linux and Android.

We are looking for an expert 3D Graphics engineer, with exceptional knowledge of the key graphics standards such as OpenGL ES, OpenGL, or Direct3D. You should have a rich and deep understanding of graphics fundamentals, technologies and standards. You may have experience working with graphics standardisation bodies. You will certainly enjoy writing code and building new technology. You will join the team to work on the core drivers for the next generation of GPUs.  Skills and experience sought include:

  1. 3D graphics standards such as OpenGL, OpenGL ES or Direct3D
  2. Excellent C/C++
  3. Agile s/w development methodologies - SCRUM
  4. Experience working with Open Source software
  5. If possible, knowledge of embedded operating systems eg Linux and Android
