Our Client is one of the fastest expanding publishers in the Western market. Fuelled by a ‘games for all’ ethos and an ambition to lead the global industry from the front, they need to make sure they have just the right people in place to make sure they meet their goals.

They are seeking a console programmer who is interested in pushing the boundaries of next (and ‘next next’) generation consoles to their limits. The successful applicant will be interested in all things graphics related and work as part of the team developing all aspects of a game specific engine for 360, PS3 and PC and other platforms.

Implement cutting edge graphical features on multiple platforms.
Liaise with art to produce data driven solutions that are top flight content creation tools.
Optimize code on both CPU and GPU.
Report to the Engine team Lead.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
A good BSc degree or equivalent in a relevant subject such as maths, computer science or engineering.
Experience of developing on next generation platforms.
Strong 3D maths skills.
Fluent C++
Demonstrable, in-depth, understanding of next-gen rendering techniques including deferred lighting/shading/shadowing, shader pipelines, special effects, particle systems, post processing techniques.
A thorough understanding of all things PS3 including:
Edge geometry, edge post processing, spurs jobs.
Multi-threaded / multi core techniques on 360, PS3 and PC platforms
