My client has built their reputation by its liaison with publishing giants and consistent AAA titles. They have a great working atmosphere, close knit teams and strike a happy balance between hard work and equally hard play.

They are now looking for an experienced GUI artist to be responsible for the creation, design, implementation and maintenance of all UI artwork.

Requirements
• Ability to create and implement UI elements for established designs as well as creating original systems.
• Excellent graphic design skills, covering layout, ergonomics, typography and colour theory.
• Expert user of 2D image editing software.
• Familiarity with 3D modelling and texturing.
• Skilled in both 2D and 3D motion graphics and animation.
• Fluent in flash action script and expression driven event scripting.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will work closely with the project leads and other members of the UI team to create and implement the HUD, Front End and any other UI aspects.

The UI artist is responsible for defining and maintaining the artistic vision for the user interface as well as the construction of the elements and must be able to work with programmers and gameplay scripters to ensure implementation of work is smooth and bug free.

They must be able to take responsibility for their own work and be able to work to tight deadlines with specific art styles.

Desirable Skills
• Knowledge and experience of 3D software and principles.
• Knowledge and experience using flash.
• Knowledge of video editing software.
• Organised and self-motivated.
• An interest in games of all genres.
