Intermediate Game Designer

My client has built their reputation by its liaison with publishing giants and consistent AAA titles. They have a great working atmosphere, close knit teams and strike a happy balance between hard work and equally hard play.
They are now looking for an experienced ‘hands-on’ Game Designer who can drive the creation of game features from concept to prototype to final, tuned gameplay. Collaborating with scripting, art, engineering and GUI teams, the designer must communicate and champion the required player experience and ensure it is built and finished to match the game’s creative goals.
Requirements
Solid experience in the industry, having at least one completed title in a full-time design role;
Previous experience on a AAA action game project;
Demonstrable experience in game mode/system/mission design;
Experienced in iterative mission set-up, involving user-testing and feedback implementation;
Good writing, verbal and presentation skills.
Responsibilities
Develop game features from a brief from the Lead Designer and Creative Director;
Clearly communicate the features to department leads, feature leads and the team in general, using documentation and presentations;
On a day-to-day basis, direct the efforts of a team of scripters, artists and engineers to produce prototypes and develop them into high-quality, finished gameplay features that fit the original brief;
Work with the Lead Designer to maintain and implement the vision for the game;
Contribute innovative ideas towards all aspects of the game design;
Prioritize and meet deadlines, document and communicate progress, participate in design meetings.
Desirable Skills
Passion for playing and creating computer games;
Good knowledge of what plays well and sells well;
Team skills;
Should be a good communicator;
Self-motivated and self-organizing;
Enthusiasm for on-going learning and development.
