Position Summary:
Develop and maintain EA world wide applications. Provide the technical domain leadership required to effectively deliver high-quality, timely solutions and services globally that meet the company’s business needs.
The ideal candidate must be able to function and thrive in a rapidly changing, agile development environment, and deliver high-quality, timely results without being micromanaged.

Key Responsibilities:
Solution Delivery and Support:
• Closely partners with business analysts and customers to assess feasibility, complexity, and scope of new capabilities and solutions
• Ensures that all capabilities delivered align with original business objectives, service levels, and design intent
• Participates in design, development, estimating, and scheduling
• Drives and leads technical designs, including requirements analysis, and documentation
• Manages and maintains appropriate development and test environments to support production and solution delivery
• Ensures technical documentation is kept up to date (use cases, process diagrams, system information, technical documents)
• Maintains overall responsibility for quality of production deployments
• Defines proactive activities and tasks required for optimization of stability, performance and architecture
• Understands worldwide, enterprise, distributed systems and system interactions

Team / Project Leadership:
• Demonstrates a sound understanding of EA functional / business objectives that drive and shape technology requirements and design deliverables
• Possesses, develops, and applies knowledge of trends, relevant system development technologies and methodologies
• Ensures quality and consistency of design, development, testing, and integration testing cycles and deliverables
• Drives continuous improvement; may include design, definition of roadmaps, standardization of processes and methodologies

Job Qualifications:
Essential:
• Experience with the J2EE stack, web services, and front-end frameworks (Tomcat, Struts, etc.)
• Experience designing/developing for web-based software applications
• Experience with complementing technologies such as XML, AJAX, and JavaScript
• Experience with UI design and Web 2.0 technology
• Experience with database development/programming: MS SQL (tSQL) and/or Oracle (PL/SQL)

• Extensive operating system knowledge in Windows 2008 R2 and Linux
• Experience building scalable, high availability, mission critical applications
• Extensive experience in application design, architecture, development and implementation of software projects using J2EE
• In-depth knowledge of advanced design techniques, specifically web application modeling
• Ability to conduct complex systems analysis and translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high volume, deadline-driven environment
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a development team

Desirable:
• Experience with content or digital asset management systems, like Nuxeo, OpenText, etc.
• Experience with Business Process Management (BPM) applications, WebSphere Lombardi Edition in particular
• Past experience working in a distributed development team
• Experience developing using Agile methodologies

Educational Requirements:
• BS or MS in Computer Science or other related degree
• Fluency in written and spoken English
