RELEASE MANAGER - New

This Scottish company works solely on original game titles for next gen consoles, using a unique concept and technology that will create new possibilities in massively multi-player on-line gaming. They are looking for a Release Manager to join our team on our next ground breaking title.
Work with a talented team on a high-profile, online game using cutting-edge technology. As part of production team, organize the creation of builds & maintain the release and distribution of builds throughout the product lifecycle. Interact closely with team management, development leads and QA team to maintain efficient, reliable build releases.
Responsibilities
* Work with Production and QA teams to set requirements for specific build content
* Track integration and testing of features with development team and QA.
* Constantly review and improve release plans to optimise effort and manage schedule risks.
* Develop build validation system to ensure new versions of software meet requirements prior to release / distribution.
* Manage documentation associated with releases.
* Regularly review and develop processes and procedures to enhance release efficiency.
* Work with developers to improve understanding of QA and 3rd Party Requirements with regards to build compilation and online compliance.
* Streamline the delivery of code from development teams to QA teams through auditing of the build process and version control.
* Effectively report progress, constraints, significant issues, risk profiles and associated resolutions to the QA Manager and Production team.
* Ownership of software security, tracking and archiving.
Experience Required
ยท 2+ years' experience in a production or software management role with at least 1 shipped title, or previous experience of a release manager or build engineer role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge/Skills Required
* Ability to multitask with strong analytical skills.
* Strong organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
* Good collaborative team skills.
* Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure when required.
* Experience working in a large complex project-based environment.
Knowledge/Skills in the following areas a plus
* Good knowledge of the game development cycle (specifically milestone / submission stages of a project is an advantage)
* A good technical understanding of the development process.
* Ability to investigate and describe software fault issues.
* Must have uncompromising standards of quality in performing job functions, an eye for detail, and a strong focus on delivery.
* Honors Degree in an applicable subject.
