Development Manager

The development manager works closely together with the project team and leads to ensure the delivery of a project within the given constraints of time, quality and budget.
He/she is responsible for the day-to-day planning, prioritisation and follow-up of a team of developers and artists, ensuring goals are adequately met within the set-out project schedule. Dependencies between departments are pro-actively handled and sorted out.
The development manager drives the communication within the team, making sure goals, decisions and priorities are clearly communicated to and understood by the team. He/she is responsible for reporting towards senior management on team progress.
The development manager is also responsible for the people management of his/her team which includes:
- Managing both individual and team performance
- Conducting performance reviews in cooperation with the team lead.
- Managing team morale
- Escalating personnel issues to senior management if needed
