Lead Level Designer
SCEE Cambridge studio, part of Amsterdam based Guerrilla, is looking for a Lead Level Designer for their new flagship PlayStation VITA project. We are looking for a creative individual with a strong background in level design.
This is an exciting opportunity to drive the level design of our new flagship project and we are looking for you to ensure its success!
Tasks
• Lead the Level Design team providing day-to-day and long-term direction, goals, mentoring, and guidance.
• Lead by example being actively involved in the hands on creation of levels.
• Work closely with Producers and Leads of other disciplines to successfully drive all components from design to prototype to completion - through all phases of development.
• Work closely with the Game Director to establish the creative vision, long-term design goals, and maintain the quality of the game’s design and content.
• Conducts daily reviews, supplying constructive feedback to the team.
• Build a strong Level Design team that successfully produces top-class gameplay.
Requirements
• You have worked on 1 or more shipped FPS’s and/or TPS’s.
• You have a strong background in Level Design with at least 6 years career experience, 2 years of such experience must be within a leadership role.
• You posses excellent leadership and mentoring qualities.
• You have the ability to work to and meet strict deadlines whilst keeping your head cool and maintaining overview.
• You have a good understanding of the target audience and can adequately judge the value of gameplay components to their perceived value during any phase of the project.

• You’re experienced in designing for handheld action games.
