Job Title:     Manager, Consumer Insights
Reports To:   Vice President, Consumer Insights
Division/Department:  Consumer Marketing                
 
Basic Function:
Responsible for the development, execution, analysis and creative presentation of advanced and complex quantitative and/or qualitative consumer research for specific Activision brands as well as company-wide strategic initiatives.
 
Position Responsibilities:
  • Represent the voice of the consumer throughout the product and marketing development cycle for various Activision titles, in many segments of the category from kid's games to hard-core mature titles.
  • Plan, implement and analyze title-level consumer research using qualitative and quantitative tools.  Scope of work may include the following on a title-level:
    • Game concept development
    • Positioning development/exploration
    • Advertising/Communications development
  • Manage and report global tracking study findings, and analyze results in the context of business results.
  • Leverage company's investment in primary and secondary research to derive insights and provide strategic leadership to internal product and marketing teams.
  • Represent the voice of the consumer in terms that are relevant to the business.  Must effectively communicate the consumers' attitudes, behavior, perceptions and motivations to the various teams within the company and to external partners.
  • Demonstrate intellectual curiosity, passion for the consumer and the ability to identify compelling and actionable insights.

To be considered for this role candidates must have a Bachelor's degree.  5+ years experience in consumer insights on the client or supplier side, strategic/account planning, or other quantitative & qualitative analysis position is required. The ideal candidate is logical and analytical, intuitive about people, a strategic thinker with intense curiosity, an eclectic user of information, and an engaging storyteller with strong interpersonal skills.

The position requires the ability to perform essential job functions which may typically include sitting; walking; standing; bending; use of hands to type, handle or feel, reach with arms or hands, stoop, kneel, talk, see, hear and carry light items such as papers, notebooks, pens, etc. May also require occasional travel by car or plane.
