Role Description

The MPS Planners responsible for balancing Supply and Demand, through the successful execution and maintenance of the MPS (Master Production Schedule) Plan in the Oracle R12 single global instance for Swiss Co territories (Europe and Sanzar in Asia Pacific).
This role is to ensure the availability of packaged products to EA’s distribution centres and availability for onward sales to retail, focused on interaction and integration with EA’s supply base.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Master Production Schedule:

• Accountable for master data for Material Planning Implementation, maintaining Inventory and Material Management Strategies for all Finished Goods by regular review and optimisation of inventory parameters and levels (e.g. safety stock, ABC categorisation)
• Set Up and Maintain Territory / IO Inventory policies and MPS parameters with MPS Manager, Franchise Supply planning team and Regional Operations Managers.
o Works with Franchise Supply Planning Managers to establish inventory targets for input into MPS, setting up and maintaining
o Works with the respective Supply Leads to set up and maintain supplier input into MPS

• Forecast – Working with the Franchise Planners verify weekly demand feed from the ODS or the Demantra Demand Planning technology is valid and contains all assigned shipping SKU’s
• Define with the Franchise Supply Planning team when builds are needed for New Releases.
• Analyse daily (and as required)) the MPS workbench and reports to determine required Planned Orders to satisfy inbound demand..Verify Supply / Demand are in balance across Inventory organisations (IO) and ensure sufficient supply is on hand to prevent stock outs
• Work with the Supplier Leads to ensure no past due items, and look to minimise stock-outs while balancing supply and demand
• Identify re-working opportunities from existing inventories and initiate locally executed transformation process
• After reviewing requirements, release planned orders to Supplier Leads as approved Requisitions and / or work orders that result in Purchase Orders to those Suppliers.

New releases:
• Together with the Franchise Planner build capacity plans with the core Supply Base for New Releases, including developing scenario planning models to give the development teams maximum flexibility.
• Participate in weekly meetings with the NPL group and the FSPM team to discuss progress, changes, and negotiate schedules order to achieve agreed European and global launch dates.
• Aware of the negotiation and decision making on the timely hand off of components from NPL to ensure scheduled product release dates are met.
• Interaction with Regional Operations Managers and local teams on all operational matters

Supplier management:

• Working with Multi-site European vendors with and through Geneva-based Supply Leads, communicating information regarding the products critical path, short term forecast, product specifications, and managing them throughout the manufacturing process to achieve our requested ship date.
• Co-ordination of the supply of multiple games platforms (product categories), including responsibility for development and implementation of procedures, workload management, supplier relationship, problem solving, and SLA’s

• Key contact between Suppliers’ teams and the Geneva based Supply Planning team controlling and maintaining the information flow on each New Product Release.
• Working with the Supply Leads to manage the Lifetime forecasting, purchasing and monitoring of inventory levels of printed material to enable improved production times and reduction in COG's
• To oversee fulfilment issues and co-ordinate re-prioritisations as necessary.

• KPI reporting, including reviewing the performance of our suppliers in meeting OTIF targets, customer service and product quality.


Processes/Areas of Ownership:

• Control Microsoft Royalty tracking process, ensuring that Microsoft Royalty PO’s are raised and receipted at the correct invoice value for Average costing purposes, thus also tracking the savings the volume rebate generates
• Management of component Inventory Organisation stock and value, including Inventory Synchronisation process with suppliers, safety stock, and month end processes/meetings with the Inventory Accountant.
• Contribute to the Oracle R12 Super User activities and Global Super User Network to facilitate efficient process updates across all regions

Product lifecycle management:

• Manage execution of Republishing SKU’s to support product life-cycle plans developed by Franchise Planning Manager.

• Participate in Quarterly reviews of SKU status meetings to maintain accurate live item profiles

Inventory management:
• Review Inventory at EU Swiss Co / Inventory Org level to identify major issues in over (slow & non moving inventory) and / or under (poor Customer Service) supply

• Set up inventory targets for Pack Components (primarily Print) and monitor actual inventory levels vs. targets (in co-operation with vendor schedulers). Identify and manage potential inventory obsolescence to minimise write-offs (finished goods and component materials inc. Print)

Skills and Experience Required

• Oracle MRP knowledge and use (preferably r12)
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Demonstrated experience reviewing and implementing new procedures using correct processes
• Proactive and assertive in follow-through with colleagues and business partners, including a high degree of self direction.
• Strong interpersonal skills, specifically in the areas of teamwork and customer service (whether internal or external).
• Ability to establish and share Best Practices.
• A well developed ability to speak, read and write English, including writing clear and concise business communication.
• The ability to cope with ambiguity of information.
• Experience in key supply chain functions such as sales forecasting, material requirements, master production schedules and distribution.
• Significant experience using Microsoft Excel to create spreadsheets, charts and pivot tables; using of functions such as sumif, vlookup, and similar.
• The ability to multitask while working to tight deadlines.
• Ability to measure and track results.
