Network Engineer
Position summary:
The function of the Foundation 9 Network Engineer is to balance the needs of the network and the needs of the Company. As a Network Engineer this position is primarily responsible for all the networking needs of the company across all sites and locations. This position will provide vision, guidance, project management and hands-on support to support the needs and projects of the IT department and management. This includes providing strong technical direction, vision and leadership to manage the network architecture, security, design and operations processes required. This position reports directly to the Director of IT and works closely with a team of IT members.
Essential duties and responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)
- Respond to the needs of both Internal and External customers
- Provide technical leadership and oversees all data, voice, and network security infrastructure projects.
- Assist and advise Management with status, needs, and requests of corporate network needs
- Provide strong troubleshooting skills using experience and other available resources
- Provide monitoring, disaster recovery, and network hardware support
- Maintain up-to-date detailed documentation and publishing; where applicable
- Provide strong Project Management skills
- Budget planning and tracking

Knowledge, experience, skill, and/or ability
Required
- Strong knowledge and experience in all aspects of IP networking, security infrastructure and its deployment.
- Working knowledge of Cisco Communications Manager, Unity voicemail system, and MeetingPlace conferencing system.
- Experience with multiple internetworked sites containing many nodes.
- In-depth experience in Cisco IOS, ASA firewalls, and Cisco wireless APs,
- Knowledgeable on the following network technologies: TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, OSPF, HSRP, VLANs, H323, SCCP, SIP, SNMP, VPN, Network ACLs, MPLS, 802.x Wireless
- Flexible and adaptive; ability to provide structure where appropriate and needed.
- Have strong analytical and planning skills, ability to conceptualize the integration of the potential of technology with the needs and functions of the organization.
Desirable
- Experience in the Video Game development Environment
- Understanding of Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange, and Windows Servers environment.

- MS Office
- MS Visio
Education/experience/certifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from accredited institution and/or 5+ years relevant experience, OR, equivalent years work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- CCNA required, CCNP desired.
Travel
- Less than 25%
