Position Summary
The Online Marketing Manager, Shooter Vertical, will help drive the comprehensive vision, global alignment, and international execution of social, online, and community marketing strategies for EA shooters, working with the EAGL Online organization, studio partners, and global publishing partners.
Key Duties & Responsibilities for key EAGL Launches:
• Support the development and lead execution of global online marketing plans, including:
o Funnel management: defining, measuring, and optimizing the online consumer journey through acquisition to engagement and conversion.
o Web/UGC/social apps/game <-> web, content creation, landing pages, and SEO
o Partnering with PM & PR to ensure online campaign amplifies marketing messages
o Responsibility for all online marketing efforts aligning against overall GtM goals and brand tenets
o Responsibility for the marketing aspects of cross-title affinity programs (GunClub, Autolog)
• Responsible for the Consumer Experience across online channel touchpoints
• Manage internal partnerships (GPO: MarCom, Analytics, CRM / GOS: NAWP, ea.com)
• Define business goals for web site, web applications (e.g. Demo Portal) and social media channels, set the KPIs, and deliver them
• Deliver post-mortems, best practices, competitive evals
Skills and Knowledge:
Strong understanding of, passion for core games, gamer culture, and online trends.
Creative and resourceful thinking and the ability to make decisions and organize thoughts under time and budget constraints.
The ability to diplomatically question, challenge and suggest alternative strategies and approaches to internal and external audiences.
Capable of working with senior executives.
Excellent writing and editing skills — both creative and technical.
Able to conduct public speaking.
Good internal networker.
Able to develop strategic, long term plans and launch initiatives/campaigns.
Able to manage, prioritize, and execute multiple projects at one given time.
Able to offer guidance, support and assistance to other team members.
Strong attention to detail and verbal communication skills.
Experience/Background:
• Minimum 5 years experience working in some combination of online production, community management, new media, or social media fields.
• Experience in an international role with the ability to collaborate with and influence multiple stakeholders
• Experience in defining, evaluating, and defending ROI of online/community marketing initiatives
• Understanding of the evolution of online marketing technologies and strategies; understands marketing, the importance of social technologies and online community relationships, and the ability to explain the foregoing to partners, stakeholders, and executives.
• Demonstrated expertise in MS Visio, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. Experience with analytics software (e.g. Omniture SiteCatalyst, Google Analytics) and project planning (e.g. MS Project) is a preferred.
