The Global Online North America team is looking to hire a Web Developer to assist in technical Web development in a fast-paced, high-energy, high-reward environment. You'll be given freedom to create and develop solutions that further the vision for Electronic Arts’ (North America) Origin eCommerce sites and the Origin Client Application Store. Reporting into the NA Sales Leader, this person will be responsible for creating, developing and maintaining websites, managing live promotional content, working with external vendors/service providers, organizing and managing multiple projects and continually presenting us with top-notch consumer experiences for purchasing. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to be an instrumental figure within one of Electronic Arts’ fastest growing channels, Origin, its Direct-to-Consumer Online platform.

This position requires technical knowledge of Internet application development, APIs and content delivery. The ideal candidate will be experienced in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS and JavaScript. The ideal candidate will have strong interest working within the gaming market and have a good understanding of eCommerce practices and channels.

Ideal Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or demonstrable programming experience)
• 4-5 years of web development experiences in enterprise environment
• Proficiency with HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, and jQuery, experience with Spring MVC Framework will be a significant plus
• Exposure to Java technologies especially J2ee related is ideal, but not required
• Knowledge of version control systems such as CVS or Subversion. Knowledge of perforce will be a plus.
• Strong desire to research new technologies and platforms.
• An individual with a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and adjust to changing priorities
