Pipeline Tools Programmer (Maya experience)
My client is dedicated to creating exceptionally high-quality video games for the PC and next-generation consoles powered by cutting edge games technology.
Their goal is to provide gamers with an intuitive user interface, innovative exciting gameplay, and revolutionary atmospheric visuals.
Based in a fantastic location in Germany, our client offers open planned offices and the opportunity to work with some of the best technology available.
Required Profile:
o Team worker
o Good oral and written English communication
o Willing to relocate to Germany
o Extensive experience in software development
Required skills:
o Solid years of experience using and writing plug-ins for Maya.
o Proficiency in software design:
„X System architecture
„X Algorithms
o Strong understanding of:
„X Asset data processing pipelines
„X Algorithms
„X Workflow and performance impacts
o Outstanding C and C++: programming and debugging.
o STL experience.
o Strong 3D math knowledge.
o Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical parties.
Responsibilities:
o Responsible for:
„X Workflow usability and efficiency.
„X Timing delivery of tasks.
„X Maintenance, improvement and creation of pipeline tools.
o Seek and develop solutions for the current production or usability bottlenecks.
o Collaborate with other parties (teams, studios, 3rd parties, etc.).
Desirable:
o Bachelor degree in Computer Science, a similar degree or comparable experience
o Experience with consoles
o Experience using and writing plug-ins for DCC applications (3ds Max, XSI, Blender, Sketch Up, Z-Brush, Photoshop, etc¡K)
o Experience with scripting languages
o Experience with multi-threading
o Experience in a senior or regular tools/pipeline engineering role in the games or movie industry.
o Experience of C#, .NET, Lua, Python, Mel, MaxScript, web technologies, databases and any other potentially useful technology for tool chain or pipeline enhancement and optimization.
