The Product Manager assists in the development of franchise strategies and execution of the global marketing plans across traditional consumer product marketing, retail marketing, digital and community building.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Join the Product Marketing team, which leads the Strategic marketing & General Management execution of the Skylanders business, requiring a strong mix & passion for using a wide range of skills across analytics, interpersonal/presentation, and creative development.
- Drive key marketing initiatives by partnering with cross-functional teams including: Consumer Marketing, PR, Finance, Production Management, Trade Marketing, Sales, Operations, Research, Business Development/Licensing, and Studio counterparts
- Assist in the development of long term strategic roadmap and consumer marketing plans
- Develop product briefs and work with Consumer Marketing team to ensure high quality Packaging, Video, Online & TV assets are created
- Coordinate with Digital Marketing team to ensure website and social media/CRM plans are created and managed effectively
- Help manage relationships with external partners, such as first parties and licensees to optimize execution of marketing plans
- Partner with Finance group to manage consumer marketing budget including day-to-day budget tracking, forecasts, end-of-quarter accruals, invoice submission, contract maintenance, and yearly budget development
Position Qualifications:
Educational Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree, MBA preferred
Prior Experience/Previous Positions related to current position:
- 3-5 years experience in marketing, product management, or consulting roles
- Experience and passion for working on AAA game, entertainment, and/or toy properties
- Proven leader in fast-paced cross-functional environment
- Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
- Experience managing and partnering with creative teams
- Ability to interact socially and be a team player within a dynamic environment
- Excel & PowerPoint expertise mandatory
- Web and mobile game experience a plus
