Join the team responsible for building the most fun and rewarding flying experiences available, rebooting one the longest living and most successful software franchises of all time. As the Lead Program Manager of the Contact Team, you will be overseeing everything that happens when our customers come into contact with our product. As part of our core leadership team, the Lead PM of the Contact team works closely with the Leads of the Coretech team, the Lead of the Content Pipeline team, the Lead of the Creative team, and the studio manager, to ensure our overall business, product, and team goals are successfully delivered. The ideal candidate must have proven program management experience in shipped consumer software and preferably in the game industry and have direct knowledge and experience with running a live online business. The candidate must possess the maturity to work in a team environment, foster camaraderie, provide leadership, and facilitate the involvement of all feature team members in the production process.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee the editorial plan of our live business, incorporating various existing inputs (upcoming features and content, calendar based events, etc.) into a master schedule of events, content, and promotion, to maximize our engagement and retention.
- Through our Community Management team, drive our community efforts to stay connected with our user base, improve engagement and retention, provide support, and facilitate communication between the team and our existing customers.
- Ensure we are receiving and responding to the right business intelligence (including but not limited to formal product telemetry, sales data, website data, user surveys, and public forums) working with the rest of the organization towards being an even more effective data driven business.
- Coordinate with marketing on our overall customer communication strategy, ensuring our messaging to the community is in line with our messaging for customer acquisition, and that we are effectively marketing to both new and existing customers.
- Partnering with our operational partner teams, ensure the appropriate infrastructures and processes are in place to meet our growing needs, that operational issues are planned for and managed appropriately, and that the publish processes work smoothly for both us and our operations teams.
- Drive our DLC merchandising strategy, overseeing our pricing, bundling, and promotions, to maximize our revenue potential, coordinated with our overall messaging.
- Oversee the ongoing development of our website, and working to deliver innovative ways to extend the overall user experience past the core executable.
- Provide regular and transparent updates to the rest of the organization, about the Contact Team and the efforts the Contact Team is responsible for.
- Lead and Manage the members of the Contact Team, deploying resources appropriately across a variety of disciplines and areas of responsibility.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience shipping consumer products, preferably games.
- 5+ years program management experience.
- Demonstrated strong communication, leadership and collaboration skills.
- Strong Cross-discipline communication skills; you can talk to creatives (e.g. artists and game designers), technical people (e.g. programmers), and non-technical people alike. When conflicts occur, you bring people together, you listen, you mitigate, and you resolve.
- Deals with ambiguity. You balance using data, your instincts, experiences, and your team to identify, assess, and solve problems quickly and frequently.
- Exceptional organization skills; you are detailed and organized. You never let anything fall through the cracks. You are clear, concise, and specific. When you participate in a meeting, you clarify, capture and follow up on all action items.
- Experience with release to web, on-line distribution, and micro-transaction revenue models.
- Passion for and knowledge of games and the communities around them.
