We are looking for a Senior Art Specialist to join our Corporate Studio and Central Art team.
 
The Senior Art Specialist is responsible for maintaining and improving quality in art and animation for all Activision projects, by working closely with the development teams to identify needs, then working with the team and/or other Central resources efficiently and appropriately to ensure our products are outstanding, timely, and cost-effective. The Senior Art Specialist will help to develop and implement new tools and pipelines for use by our development teams, and will work with other Activision groups to assist with a wide range of art-related issues.
 
The Senior Art Specialist must be an excellent communicator, capable of dealing with a wide variety of partners on both the development and publishing sides of the business. The ideal candidate will thrive in a challenging and ambiguous environment, be comfortable working with multiple software, toolsets and pipelines simultaneously and be adept at driving quality regardless of team, schedule, or budget.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
 
The Senior Art Specialist role falls into two general categories.
 
Oversight:
·         Assist Project Management Group in assessing and appraising ongoing projects on art-related matters, and deliver focused, accurate and timely feedback
·         Assess and review development teams' art tools and pipelines and make appropriate recommendations
·         Identify, assess and review external tools and software ahead of possible integration into studios
 
Assistance:
·         Work with development teams during pre-production to establish art needs, and then make recommendations to Central art leadership
·         Produce art/animation assets to assist development teams in meeting deadlines
·         Work with development teams to develop improved tools, pipelines and methodologies, tailored to the needs of each specific team/project
·         Assist or provide feedback to other Activision teams with regard to art-related issues
·         Work with internal R&D group to develop, implement and demonstrate new technologies for art and animation
 
 
Qualifications:


·         Multiple shipped titles in senior art/animation positions
·         Strong communication capabilities
·         Excellent understanding of game-specific technical art knowledge
·         Experience of multiple art/animation software packages and techniques
 
Nice to have:
 
·         Wide range of art experience
·         Understanding of motion capture and other animation pipelines
