Senior Audio Artist
Overview
We are looking for a well-rounded senior audio designer to contribute to all aspects of game audio development. The ideal candidate will have experience with sound design, music, dialog and implementation within a game development context. Employee will act as a liaison with multiple disciplines, including designers, animators, VFX artists and engineers. This is a major opportunity to contribute creatively to an exciting new IP.

Responsibilities
• Create sound effects that are functional, immersive and appropriate to a console action game.
• Integrate sounds into the game using a variety of techniques (emitters, animation tags, scripts, etc)
• Methodically test and debug all in-game audio
• Make use of pre-existing sounds in clever new ways by navigating large sound libraries
• Record new source sounds using field recording equipment when appropriate
• Support any post-production needs like stereo and 5.1 mixing, editing, music, sfx and mastering to picture
• Engineer recording sessions for dialog and foley
• Integrate dialog and music so that it sensibly adapts to the non-linear design of our levels
• Participate in creative/technical brainstorming meeting to maximize audio impact on the game
• Manage & direct off-site content creators (SFX, VO mastering, etc)

Experience and Skills Required
• 5 years minimum working in the game industry, 7+ years total audio design experience
• Knowledge of DAWs: Sound Forge, ProTools (both Mac and PC helpful)
• Experience using asset management systems (Perforce)
• Familiarity with games (bonus for being an action/shooter fan).
• Working knowledge of recording studio equipment including setup, troubleshooting and best practices.
• Creative, organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented team player that can deliver quality results within a deadline.

Education and Skills Preferred
• Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in music theory or other audio related area, or equivalent professional experience
• Knowledge of audio and video conversion techniques
