Experience & Qualifications:

You’ll work with an incredibly diverse and passionate group of world-class designers on a mind-boggling array of local and global challenges. As the right fit, you’ll thrive in a supportive environment that’s low on hierarchy and high on team-based collaboration, feedback, innovation and the creation of fun and joyous experiences to over 2 million daily active users.

- You know the ropes when it comes to bread-and-butter Graphic Design/UX/UI deliverables. Your designs are created to empower a user with knowledge, opportunity, direction and celebration, and grounded in some insight(s) about the intended audience. You know the difference between “good” and “great” work and are able to work within teams to deliver excellent design.

- You think deeply about the temporal qualities of good visual design, and use time-based techniques for establishing context and maintaining user engagement. You’re able to express this understanding using Flash, or an equivalent time-based software authoring environment.

- No one visual style will work for every interaction: you may have an identifiable approach, but you’re able to dramatically modify your visual designs depending on the specific needs of the project. Flexibility in stylization is key.

- You have “depth and breadth” in many different directions. For example, you may have considerable experience in game development, but you’ve also designed web applications (or vice versa).

- You’re very comfortable and experienced in generating graphic representations that express causal relationships between data in a creative and rich visual language.

- You may have developed interactions programmatically (through coding or scripting) or through handcrafted animations, or via some combination of the two.

- You can easily switch from macro to micro: from understanding the strategic value and business dynamics of a industry leading social game platform, to finessing visual designs at a vector or pixel level.

- Your work is best in a participatory, collaborative, iterative, team based work environment. You inspire teams through collaboration as well as direction, vision and planning of visual design deliverables. You have strong, verbal, written and visual presentation skills.

- You’re an excellent written and verbal communicator. You have a knack for succinctly capturing a complex concept, weighing all variables and expressing them to others, giving honest feedback, and then establishing a deeper rapport with your teammates.
