Senior CG Generalist for an Award Nominated Visual Outsourcer
My client is a 3D animation studio based in the North West, and is widely recognised for producing pre-rendered CG movies which deliver cutting edge image quality and realism. They have worked with some of the world’s leading companies to produce high profile CG animation for major games titles, plus broadcast and online digital campaigns.
The Position:
They are looking to expand their team with an experienced senior CG Generalist who has a proven background within a CG related industry. It is a key role in their studio and will involve being responsible for helping to improve team performance and actively contribute innovation, ideas, and solutions. The role requires a highly motivated and committed individual who can give and take creative direction - a team player who is an all round problem solver and has incredible attention to detail. You must be able to supply an animated show reel and shot breakdown explaining you participation in the project/s shown.
Core Skills:
•Have the skills to collate necessary information from the project manager and potentially the client to proceed with any brief or multiple briefs.
•Have the ability to organise and time control your own assignments throughout shifting deadlines.
•Offer assistance to the project manager with regard to creating schedules and milestones.
•Build rapport & understanding with team members and in some cases, clients.
•Have the skills to mentor junior team members.
•Stay at the leading edge of technology.
Technical:
•Engage in pre-production, reference gathering, technical studies and evaluation before starting work.
•Possess excellent knowledge of 3DSMax.
•Skill set to interpret a storyboard frame into a final lit rendered shot.
•Possess technological and creative communication skills.
•Must have the ability to problem solve and deliver high quality innovative solutions.
•Possess skills in After effects & post production
•Possess advanced skills in: Animatic asset creation, camera work, lighting, shaders, rigging, character animation, partical systems, technical direction, scripting, render set up, compositing, visual effects, editing/timing, sound editing, photoshop retouching, and digital painting.
