Playfish is seeking creative, motivated individuals to join its game studios. As a Senior Client Side Software Engineer you will work with some of the most talented people in the social games industry in a fun and exciting environment. Making use of cutting-edge technologies across a number of platforms, you will lead a team of game developers who collaborate with server engineers and other game teams while creating innovative solutions to a variety of challenging problems.

We are looking for talented software professionals to join our growing game studio in San Francisco. We believe that raw talent combined with a positive attitude is what is needed to make great games.

Primary Responsibilities:
● Develop innovative gameplay by working in a collaborative, creative environment
● Lead game feature development from concept through design and implementation
● Create high quality, efficient, high performance, and reusable code
● Inspire others with great code and best practices

Key Requirements:
● Extensive ActionScript3 and Flash knowledge required
● Strong programming knowledge across several languages and platforms such as Java, C++ and Python
● Solid understanding of algorithms, math, physics, and performance constraints
● Solid foundation in OOP concepts and design patterns
● Proficiency with web-based architectures and technologies (REST, XML, JSON)
● Strong desire to learn and share your knowledge with other team members
● Used Agile Methodology as a software development process following continuous integration programming, particularly SCRUM
● Motivated self-starter who likes working on very productive, fast-paced teams
● Most important of all, a passion for making great games!

Desired:
● Experience leading or managing a team of developers
● Experience working with the Facebook API or other web APIs
● Knowledge of HTML5 and JavaScript
● Experience in game development
● Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
