Senior Environment Artist Required For German Based Developer
My client is a long-established games-developer located in the south of Germany.
The development team features a rich mix of nationalities with staff from all over the world working together, with English as the spoken language.
They are now looking for an experienced Senior Environment Artist to be responsible for creating levels, lighting, 3D assets in a very close cooperation with an art and level design team.

Responsibilities:
Creating and maintaining visually stunning 3d game environments
Layout, light, and set dress levels
Work with Designers on creating a fun gameplay space
Create 3d models for in game assets
Optimize levels for performance
Work within the technical and memory constraints of a game. An ideal candidate will have the following qualities:
Strong understanding of form and composition, color and lighting
Expert of 3dsmax, Photoshop
Expert in modeling, texturing, and UV mapping
Excellent communication skills with the ability to take and give critiques
Ability to collaborate effectively with designers and programmers
Work with Art Director/ Lead Artist/Concept Artist to maintain art direction for a specific game
Experiment with and/or evaluate techniques to improve efficiency, workflow, or pipeline contribution to game art/engine
Solution oriented and proactive
Proven ability to work within the technical and memory constraints of a game
Easily forecast the amount of time a common task will take to complete and consistently meet your own forecasted deadlines
Able to work in a variety of styles (realistic/fantasy/cartoony), have strong understanding of composition
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Good knowledge of zbrush or mudbox
Good knowledge of shader programming
Experience of leading a 3D art team

Previous Experience:
Extensive experience as a full time environment artist
A minimum of 2 shipped AAA-titles
