Senior Producer I

The diablo III team is looking for a highly organized individual with outstanding communication, and project management skills. The ideal candidate has prior experience in game development, and has a keen knowledge of how each discipline operates and interacts. Self-direction and follow-up skills are a must, as well as the ability to anticipate production issues, and find effective solutions. The candidate must enjoy seeing a project from inception to completion and delivering games on time with the highest quality.

 

Responsibilities

  • Liaises with different departments to facilitate communication.
  • Works with department leads to determine resources necessary to see projects through to completion.
  • Coordinates, tracks, and manages the activities of personnel to ensure that project tasks are completed on time.
  • Provides motivation, and direction to ensure that project goals, objectives, milestones, and deliverables are achieved.
  • Facilitates team, and department meetings to reach decisions effectively.
  • Contributes to a positive work environment, and ensures project forward momentum.
  • Assists the production directo,r and other producers with creative and organizational tasks as necessary.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 4+ years’ experience in the video game industry
  • Must have shipped at least one AAA title in a senior producer role
  • Able to communicate effectively with programming, design, art, and business personnel
  • Experience managing teams, and delivering products on time
  • Knowledge of software development processes, project management, and performance management
  • Proven experience managing schedules, and employees to achieve desired results
  • Experience with video game development pipelines and potential bottlenecks
  • Exceptional inter-personal skills, oral, and written communication skills
  • Able to facilitate, and mediate between members of the executive team, development teams, sound, cinematics, online technologies, quality assurance (QA), video production, marketing, and public relations (PR)
  • Unrelenting self-motivation, and initiative
  • Passion for video games (especially Blizzard Entertainment titles)

Pluses

  • Past game design, engineering, or art work experience
  • Experience producing centralized technology or tools departments
