Department Overview
The EA Games Label PR group is a fast-paced, efficient and passionate team that oversees product publicity and internal communications for the EA Games Label’s portfolio of multi-million selling franchises. The PR team also serves as a strategic partner to the development studio and marketing organization in delivering the best marketing campaigns and highly rated games on the market. The PR department's primary objective is to generate media interest in EA as a company both for its business leadership and games.
Position Overview
Reporting to the PR Director, the Senior Publicist will be based at EA’s headquarters in Redwood City responsible for supporting the marketing, social communications and PR teams in promoting EA’s top shooter franchises, developing and executing PR programs to generate positive editorial consumer, trade and business coverage and build/maintain media relationships in the industry.
Candidate must have the ability and desire to work in a fast-paced and creative environment. This team player and strong communicator will work directly with multiple internal and external partners on EA Games Label’s roster of top shooter titles.
Primary Responsibilities
• 4 - 6 years of professional experience, preferably in a marketing and/or public relations function.
• Ideal candidate is a quick learner, has the ability to multi-task and is passionate and responsible for his/her work
• Act as a spokesperson and be knowledgeable about trends and status of entertainment/games industry
• Works well in deadline-oriented environment
• Think globally
• Excellent organizational and communication skills and has the ability to develop strong internal and external relationships through constant interaction and follow-up
• Owns outreach and secures coverage in trade, consumer and business press including print, online, and broadcast
• Plan/organize event activities
• Be a strong and valued individual contributor as well as an important and integral part of the PR team
• Gaming experience preferred
• Computer proficiency – experience with Microsoft Outlook, Powerpoint, Microsoft Word, Excel.
