Senior VFX Artist Required for Well Developer Developer
My client can safely claim they have created some of the past decades classic games. Not only critically successful but also commercially, achieving millions of sales.

Moving to the present they are in the midst of developing a title original in style using a unique concept and are seeking a highly skilled Senior SFX Artist to be responsible for creating high quality real time visual effects for AAA game title. With extensive practical knowledge and experience, the Senior SFX Artist is expected to guide and inspire the team, and bring creative and technical solutions for the projects ambition working within a team of multiple disciplines.

Key Accountabilities:
• Creating various high quality visual effects (particle effects/materials) aligned to the game’s visual ambition, which meet the performance and memory criteria and run within real time game engine.
• Proactively supporting game code, animation, cinematics, environment art and character art by supplying high quality visual effects and/or creative solutions to achieve desired visuals for the game content.
• Task completion adhering production schedule.
• Guiding and mentoring junior members of the team.

• Continually build and improve on existing skill-set to ensure the studio continues to produce landmark games
• Ensures high standard of quality
• Has a good understanding of team objectives and strives to deliver these

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

1) Essential Experience
• Extensive experience and proven ability in games industry by working successfully on multiple high quality titles as SFX Artist.

2) Technical/Functional Skills
• Extensive practical knowledge of Particle Effects Editor, material/texture creation and other relevant graphic packages (Photoshop and 3D package).
• Ideally familiar with Unreal Editor (Cascade and Material Editor)
• Expected to demonstrate creativity and excellent problem solving skills (visual portfolio and previous game or games)

3) Personal Attributes/Interpersonal Skills
• Can take direction, communicate and work within the team of Artists, Game Designers, Scriptors and Programmers.
• Can come onto a team and be immediately productive.

4) Qualifications
• Expected to have academic training or significant relevant experience on visual design and animation.
