SENIOR WEB UI DEVELOPER
The EA SPORTS Online division is shaping the future of online gaming for our biggest titles such as FIFA, Madden, NCAA Football, NHL, Tiger Woods, and Fight Night. The division is responsible for the web presence, www.easports.com, which is evolving to become a unique, persistent, multi-platform experience designed to extend EA SPORTS console gaming to the web and provide a connected experience and a premier destination for sports gamers. We are searching for a passionate and dedicated User Interface Software Developer to help us deliver the next generation online experience for easports.com product.
Position Overview
You are a subject matter expert in HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Must have a flair for good visual design and will utilize modern software engineering methodologies to deliver a successful product. Must be comfortable working with a diverse team of back-end engineers, interface designers, producers, project managers, QA, etc.
Key Responsibilities
•Reporting to the Development Director of the EA SPORTS Online Web team, you are responsible for visual integration of various features for http://www.easports.com.
•Apply your knowledge of web technologies including JavaScript, jQuery, and CSS to create an interactive web experience targeting the millions of EA SPORTS gamers worldwide.
•Provide guidance and leadership to the to the team by setting standards for visual quality.
•Apply agile software development methodologies to help deliver features in a timely manner and with quality.
Required Technical Skills and Experience
•5+ years experience working on consumer facing websites. Please provide URLs to sites you have worked on and your role on these sites.
•Expert in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery.
•Expert in web standards, accessibility and cross-browser compatibility.
•Experienced with usability and user experience design.
•Experienced with Ajax and JSON.
•Experienced with Photoshop.
•Experienced with Windows and Linux.
•Experienced with source control management tools, preferably git.
Bonus Points
•UI design.
•HTML5 / CSS3.
•PHP / Symfony.
•SEO.
•Agile development.
•Object-oriented software engineering.
•Relational databases (RDBMS).
