Microsoft Studios’ Games Test Organization (GTO) is looking for a Test Lead to own the testing of Halo Waypoint. As the test lead you will own the test planning and strategy for the Web, Mobile (WP7, iOS, and Android) and Xbox 360 clients. As the test lead for our clients you will also be responsible for driving client validation and debugging against our Halo services. This position requires someone with strong leadership and communication skills and the ability to work with partners across groups and with external teams in addition to strong test planning and people management skills. You will also need the ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic work environment managing parallel development efforts with 343i. You will work closely with PM and developer counterparts from Microsoft Studios’ 343 Industries and with other GTO teams. You and your team will be an integral part of delivering great experiences for the next generation of games in the Halo Universe.
Responsibilities:
- Create a comprehensive test strategy and test plans to cover all 3 screens
- Drive automation testing strategy across the 3 screens
- Track feature development and make cost vs. time vs. quality tradeoffs to meet business goals
- Be an active member of our test leadership team to help define and drive test initiatives
- Integrate, collaborate and positively influence Development and PM/Producer partners.
Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent industry experience
- At least 3-5 years of SDET experience, with 2+ years of lead experience
- Excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment
- Prior experience testing services and web-based technologies
- A minimum of 3 years of C# development experience
- Passion for the entertainment and gaming space
