Software Engineer - AAA Games Developer - UK
My esteemed client holds a global reputation as one of the biggest Games developers/publishers in the industry and is amongst the best game studios in the world with a world class team of game makers at its heart.
They now have a fantastic opportunity for a Software Engineer to support the existing team focusing on developing on new platforms.
The successful candidate, mentored by a senior engineer, will be working with creative people to establish technical requirements for features of a world-class video game. They will then be responsible for developing, testing and iterating those features to final quality.
Required:
Successful candidates will have a good degree (or equivalent) in computer science, maths or another related subject as well as good A-Level and GCSE grades in Maths and/or physics.
They are looking for an 'all-round' Software Engineer with experience in:
- C++
- C# or Java (C# preferred, specifically C# 3.5)
After that any experience in the following is an advantage (in order of value):
- SQL / SQL Data mining and reporting
- Windows Presentation Foundation / Windows Forms
- Maya UI, MEL Scripting, Maya SDK
