Position Summary:
Work in a team of software, infrastructure and database engineers responsible for delivery, deployment, and maintenance of database applications and services.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop conceptual data models and relational data structures.
Assist in migration and integration of data and processes and data from legacy systems to new applications and new technologies.
Work closely with other teams of application developers, system administrators and central operations management.
Work on issues escalated by the support team that are related to databases.
Job Qualifications:
5+ years experience in database development and administration in a Microsoft SQL Server environment (SQLServer 2005, 2008)
Experience administering SQL Servers in an enterprise environment/cloud computing
Experience with T-SQL, PL/SQL, or SQL-ANSI. C#/VB.NET will be a plus and really appreciated.
XML/XQUERY/Path experience
Strong experience in SSIS and Reporting Services
Experience in the physical and logical design of database architecture
Experience with database optimization and performance tuning
Ability to perform complex DBA tasks including data migrations, ETL operations (SSIS), replication, troubleshooting, diagnostics and performance optimization
Experience with object oriented programming techniques and concepts a plus
Oracle and MYSQL experience a plus
